The snapshots are observations
of daily city scenes

This is particularly present in the drawings made in China in 2013, as well as in the other snapshots which have been painted in acrylic. The latter are observations of an in itself insignificant city scene, which is made visible as a sort of portrait in its surroundings. The snapshots are natural (unposed) portraits of people in their usual habitat and catch people in a glimpse, or simply visualise a tiny piece of a city, in which a dog stands between the legs of people walking by.
